We all have to start somewhere...

Yes, I got myself a blog. Everyone else seems to have one and, well, I was feeling a little left out. So here's mine.

Now, I spent quite a lot of time coming up with a jazzy name for it. I wanted something that was both thought-provoking and interesting, both unusual and different, both inspired and inspirational…

In the end, I couldn’t think of anything like that so I settled for calling it My Blog.

Catchy, eh?

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to contact you. I just d/l Adrift and saw some of you comments on poorly written games. I'm comfortable with my story telling skills but the interface of Adrift is a bit difficult for me. I have no programming experience and after creating my rooms and linking them with dirctional connections I'm a bit lost as to where to go next. I was hoping for a blog or web site where real newbies could go for help beyond the Adrift tutorial. Maybe taking an existing story and breaking it down in it's logical steps or something. My ability to learn by example far exceeds my ability to gleen from the written word so for me a step by step would be perfect. Do you have any suggestions so I can get on with my Adrift creation? Thank you for your help and time. Frank

The best place to visit is the Adrift forum (http://www.adrift.org.uk/cgi/f/ikonboard.cgi) where most users visit fairly regularly. If you have a problem try checking through the old posts as most questions have been asked before.

The ADRIFT 4 manual (http://www.tardis.ed.ac.uk/~jcw/Manual.pdf) is fairly usable and should be your main reference.
